1 Profile: Zirconia is largely used in refractories industry where it is either used directly as fused cast refractories or manufactured from zirconia powder and sintered or fused to produce a range of refractory shapes such as tundish nozzles, slidegate plates, tubes and rods, For zirconia is excellent in several properties, such as high hardness, strength, fracture toughness, excellent wear and chemical resistance and high refractriness. But because the zirconia-based refractries are relatively expensive, their use is usually limited to those applications where their special properties are most needed.
2 Products: 2.1 Zirconia Material: The Zirconia Materials include monoclinic zirconia, partially stabilized zirconia and fully stabilized zirconia, the stabilizer include CaO, MgO, Y2O3 and mix of such oxide. The zirconia materials used in refractories are usually fused zirconia, which is easily to come to granule or powder but purity is not very well.
